Helen will continue to oppose any attempt to appeal or relax the Hunting Ban

"I have received almost 300 emails and letters from Bishop Auckland Constituents about the recent proposal to repeal the Hunting Act. A recent IPSOS MORI survey showed that 80% of people support the ban and my mailbox reflects this view.

“The vast majority of the British public support the ban. I believe that we have a duty to treat animals with compassion and that they should not suffer unnecessarily. I will therefore continue to oppose any attempt to repeal or relax the Hunting Act.”
