Rural growth and productivity grants from Defra

There are grants available which, being a rural area, farm and timber businesses may be able to access.

Defra has recently announced a new round of Growth and Productivity grants.

There is a pot of £45 million to help rural businesses to grow, with emphasis being put on tourism or food processing.

There is also a larger fund at £120m which is aimed at farm reservoirs and forest productivity.

The scheme offers large grants over £35,000 for investment to improve forestry productivity through felling, extraction and timber processing.
