what_does_helen_goodman_do_in_her role_as_shadow_minister_for_foreign_affairs

The main job of the Shadow Minister for Foreign Affairs, as is the job of most shadow ministers, is to hold the government to account over their policies in that area: to criticise when they believe an error has been made, and also to support them when they believe something has been done well. They also have to represent their party's interests with regards to their specialism in Parliament.

They also play an active role in examining and publishing legislation in their areas. In Helen's case, this means trying to better foreign relations.
